Campaign lawyers as well as the Office of White House Counsel expressed concern over the plan to have fake electors submit their votes for President Trump. Legal staffers reduced their involvement in the fake elector effort when they felt there wasn't a feasible scenario where the courts could decide that President Trump actually won any of the States he contested.
